Jennifer Denita Capeheart-Meningall was born to the late Patricia Ann and Harry Capeheart in New York, New York. Her immediate family includes two brothers, Gregory Charles and Wendall Patrick Capeheart; one sister, Donna Cometha Capeheart; and she is married to Seth Thomas Meningall.

Affectionally call Dr. Jenni, she completed her primary and secondary education in New York City, where she graduated from James Monroe High School. Dr. Jenni attended Adelphi University (Bachelors of Arts – Political Studies and Communications); Long Island University (Masters of Arts – Counseling and Human Development); and Columbia University/Teacher’s College (Doctor of Education – Higher Education Organization and Leadership).

Professionally, Dr. Jenni served as Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Prior to this position, she was the Vice President for Student Affairs at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. Her professional resume includes a variety of academic and administrative positions at various postsecondary institutions.

In 1989, Dr. Jenni joined Greater Salem Church where Bishop Anthony L. Jinwright was the Senior Pastor. Here, she accepted her call to preach, underwent Biblical training and served in a variety of ministry leadership roles and intensive spiritual training for five years. In 1998, after relocating to Clarksville Tennessee, Jennifer served in Ezra Emmanuel Baptist Church (Chonta and William Nealous- Pastors). In 2003, Jennifer joined the Liberty Church in Clarksville under the leadership of L. Gene Vaughn, Sr., Senior Pastor. Jennifer moved to Tampa Florida in 2005 and she currently serves, as the Administrative Pastor, at Bible-Based Fellowship Church of Temple Terrace in Tampa Florida, where Pastor Earl Bernard Mason, Sr., is the Senior Pastor. Her work at Bible-Based includes serving on the Leadership Council, Christian Education, and the Pastoral Minister’s Team.

Early in 1995, although in the midst of completing her doctoral work, was compelled to acknowledge God’s leading in dedicating more of her life and work to the ministry of preaching and teaching the Word of God. She pursued Godly counsel, with Pastor Anthony L. Jinwright and began a five-year period of prayer and studying the Word and was later licensed and ordained in 2001 under the leadership of Chonta and William Nealous- Pastors of the Ezra Emmanuel Baptist Church – Clarksville Tennessee.

In 2013, Dr. Jenni founded EpiphanyLeads, Inc., a Christian faith-based firm that offers services in personal, professional and organizational coaching and consulting. We are a synergetic team of experienced business, church, community agencies and educational leaders who have served at the highest levels of executive leadership in churches, business, and higher education and have successfully served in roles as Pastors, Christian Teachers, Vice Presidents, Account Executives and Project Managers. EpiphanyLeads exists to facilitate the growth and development of biblically based leadership for the strengthening of individuals, organizations, and communities. Dedicated to equipping others to pursue and fulfill the divine vision and change lives.

Dr. Jenni is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and a number of other community and professional organizations. Her hobbies include reading, listening to music, writing, teaching and traveling.

Her personal motto is derived from 1 Corinthians 2:1-5, “and my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Sprit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.”
